The seat is not thick enough to provide support.I was really excited to get a new desk chair as mine is old and not as comfortable. Got a great deal on Prime day in June. When I opened the box, it seemed like some of the pieces had been used. I didn't really care as long as I liked the chair. I get to the last step. The part where you insert the back into the base of the bottom. It should just slide right in and then you twist a knob to tighten the back so it doesn't move. My back would not slide in more than 1/2 inch. The back rocked from side to side. Took the back off stuck my finger in the hole and could feel broken plastic that was preventing the back to slide all the way into the bottom of the chair. I was LIVID at this point! I put this chair together by myself. I am 52 years old. So then I got the fun job of disassembling the chair I just put together. Figuring out how to get the chair back in the box it arrived in with all the packaging was not fun. When my husband got home from work he had to help me pack the box back up. I have to say that in the time of a pandemic I have done a majority of my shopping online. I have been fine with that. It is like getting a present in the mail. Something to look forward to. I have learned my lesson. I will never buy a desk chair online again.I find this chair to be very uncomfortable for me and it does not feel very sturdy. We bought two, but after putting the first chair together and trying it for a day, it proved to be too small for my 6'4" husband, so we returned it.I had just had surgery, so had not tried it right away, but once I was in it for a week, I wish we had returned it too!The lift and tilt controls are almost behind the seat, so very difficult to use.Just not a very comfortable chair...Easy to assemble and sturdy. Only complaint is the seat is not comfortable very long. Ended up getting a seat cushion and am happy with the comfort level now. Can make a lot of different changes (tilt, resistance, height, harm resr height) to best fit your needs.I used the chair for one week before writing this review. Wanted to give it 3 stars for sleekness, but for the price the seat cushion just doesn't cut it and overall it's not a comfortable chair. Very easy to assemble. Unboxing, checking parts, and putting together took 25 mins. Chair looks nice too. But immediately after sitting in it I noticed the large cushion is low quality. I'm 150lbs and my butt sank right to the bottom and i could feel the underlying plastic support. I looked at many chairs before deciding on this one b/c of the large cushion. Ironically, it's the worst part of the chair. The front of the cushion is pretty thick but becomes pretty thin toward the back. I sit at my home office desk all day for work due to COVID and find myself squirming for a comfortable position. This brand new chair provides minor improvement from my previous worn out chair. Back support is okay but if there's weak bottom support who cares. Overall not satisfied with the near $200 purchase.It's light on the cushion. I added a seat cushion to it. The rest of the chair seems well built. If you are going to sit in it for a while, spend extra and get a seat cushion or spendore and get a higher quality chair.This chair was expensive. I like the adjustable arm height, but the seat portion is a thin foam, and the back portion (plastic mesh) isn't comfortable either. The back actually lifts out, it is not retained. I paid 90.00 for a chair with faux leather that is far more comfortable. Too bad for me because I paid nearly 200.00. I cannot recommend this chair to anyone who wants comfort while WFH. Honestly, I'm not sure why I bought this chair!i like that it was easy to put together but its not very comfortable
